I got yo back

Hey lovelies! So, this weekend was totally awesome, but not exactly how I had originally planned. Friday night, my school was celebrating Reading Across America week by having a Literacy Night Celebration!
Woohoo Reading!!! Yeeyah!!!
It was totally cool because each of the classes had some sort of presentation/games/food to celebrate a state and an author from that state (ie: one third grade class chose Illinois, so they studied Shel Silverstein and made dioramas for their favorite poems of his and then they had food from Chicago in their classroom ...mmm).
It was so fun (especially since I ended up not having to do anything except enjoy the celebration).
Camaron and I went together for date night. They also had a BBQ and a choir concert.
It was a lot of fun (mostly tasty fun = the best kind of fun)

We stopped by a party later that night, then went home and watched a movie together and ate some more:) Then, Saturday morning, Camaron woke up extra early to go help our neighbor move.
That's when it happened.
I guess Camaron ended up lifting something that was heavy, and forgot to left with his legs ...long story short, my husband had to IcyHot it up the rest of the weekend flat on his back in bed :(

Here's how Camaron normally looks: joyful and happy
joyful

happy

then he messed up his back somehow...

and then he was lookin a lot like this:
just have him be laying flat on his back in bed, and there you have it

He is doing much better now, but is still slow movin and needs Motrin and IcyHot. Overall though, he is doing so much better. It has been kinda fun tending to all of his needy needs (mostly because now I know I'm totally set next time I'm hurt or sick :)  )

moral of story: ALWAYS lift with your legs, not your back. Aight?

  11. I am SO bad about the whole lift with your knees thing. It feels so unnatural to me. It's all I could think about this winter when I shoveled. I tried so hard to do it but I felt so awkward! Ha! Hope he feels better soon!
