Chili Cookoff and GIVEAWAY winner

This weekend was one full of fun with our neighbors.
I'm so grateful that we have fun people living near us who have made us feel so welcome.

Friday night, we were invited by the couple who lives a floor above us to join them for chocolate fondue and a viewing of Hocus Pocus. Yes, the one with Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker. Yes, it is still amazing. Yes, we still get Binks the cat mixed up with Salem the cat from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Seriously, 90s family movies just had it down. Of course many of them were poorly made - but that's part of what makes them so great! You know you love it. "Whoa, check out the new cross trainers."
...and now I have a major craving to watch Casper. MMmmm Devon Sawa...

Then Saturday, us and some more of our neighbors got together and had a chili cookoff.*
Basically, you just can't go wrong when it comes to a chili cookoff.
You get to eat a lot of chili and cornbread.
'nuff said.
We made a white chili. No one else did. Yeah, we like to live on the edge.

And the winner of the MyMemories software suite is:
Congrats Megan Danielle from Tiptoe Through The Tulips With Me!!!
email me your email address ASAP and I'll send you all of the details

*Yes, we're still about 80% vegan, but we decided it was more important to have fun and bond with our neighbors than worry about not eating meat or cheese Saturday night.

  6. Mmm, I love chili. I haven't made it in the longest time, but now that it's fall maybe its time to pull out the old family recipe.
I've never tried a white chili before. Is it a cream base rather than a tomato base?
