Because I don't want to forget about this night

December 18th (last month) marked mine and Camaron's two year anniversary. As it fell one week before Christmas, life was a little crazy and I ended up never blogging about it. I don't like to have important dates undocumented -because I love looking back on them. Therefore, I now (finally) give you the recap of Camandrea's second anniversary celebration!!!

As for all of the planning, I let Camaron take the reins, as I so often do. A few weeks beforehand, he asked me how I felt about maybe doing a little overnight stay in a cool hotel not too far away, with Fox staying at his grandparent's for the night. As tempting as it was, I know myself all too well. I would be worrying about Fox the whole time, so I let Cam know I'd rather just have a fun date night instead. And how it ended up being so fun! Cam kept everything a surprise, which is my absolute favorite.

This is our only photo from the night. Us enjoying ice cream sandwiches, as documented by Camaron's phone.

The theme of the night was revealed to me as past dates together. It was so much fun reliving some of our early dates. We played croquet, ate dinner at the restaurant we went to on out third date, had dessert at our favorite ice cream sandwich shop on Mill (we go there on dates way too often). Then we played in Urban Outfitters, as any outing/date on Mill must include. The night was to finish off at one final stop.

At first, I was a little confused when Cam pulled over at a random four-way stop on Main Street in downtown Mesa. As I looked around though, it suddenly all clicked. This was where we had watched fireworks together on the third of July 2010. That was the night when we first said I love you. It was so wonderful to just stand there in the cold, wrapped in Camaron's arm, talking about the past two years we've spent together, and all sorts of cheesiness ...and Camaron gave me some beautiful earrings (ones I would actually have picked out for myself, might I add). This kid is good.

Oh, it was such a wonderful night! Smooth sailing from here on out, right Cam?!

  2. Wow he's a good planner. I'm impressed. You guys are the cutest ever! Happy 2 years to you! PS I tried that ice cream sandwich place a few weeks ago because I remembered you talking about it and it did not disappoint. And it's cheap. Love it :)
