Remember 2012??

Dear 2012,

Thank you for being so great. Seriously, I don't know what I would have done without you. So much happened in just 365 days. Not only were you the year of the dragon, you were also the year of the Fox. When I reflect on what happened in 2012, I basically just remember being pregnant, and then having Fox in our lives -which is perfectly fine. Actually, it's better than fine, it's the best. Along with being pregnant, this year I was also able to spend time with my favorite people, create, learn, and become a mom. How does one top that?! Let's just say you've set the bar pretty high for 2013, 2012.

Other parts of the amazingness that was you, 2012, had a great deal to do with the sense of accomplishment I felt. Setting, focusing on, and then achieving a goal is one of my favs. The most important part for me, though, is the setting of the goals. I'm so glad I did this part last year in the form of posting my New Year's resolutions. Through planning out and writing down what I wanted to accomplish, I was able to check off the majority of the goals I made for you, 2012. In recap, I read a ton of books (I lost track, so I'm not sure of how many), our home is organized with a place for everything, I'm a dinner-making machine, most of the house is decorated, and manual mode on the camera isn't half as intimidating as it used to be. As for my goals to journal more and be more organized about blogging, well, I think they're going to go on the list for 2013. Don't want to be too much of an over-achiever now, do I?

Ok, on to the part you've been waiting for, the highlights. And yes, the highlights of you are captured in the photos above. There were sooo many parts of you that were just so wonderful, narrowing it down to just 12 photos was quite the task. But 12 just felt right (because you contained 12 months and 12 is part of your name? Probably). Anyway, let's begin. When you started out, Camaron and I were able to experience living through one of Utah's wimpiest winters (I owe you big time for that one), then we were able to move back to Arizona (I owe you even more for that), we celebrated Arizona's 100th birthday, Camaron and I went on a fun road trip to Prescott before my pregnant belly grew too out-of-hand, I was given the most amazing baby shower ever, and my belly (and the secret-named little boy inside) grew and grew. Next, on August 19, little Fox Ezra joined our family and it was so so great. Then, he was cute. All. The. Time. Also, Camaron's brother came home from his mission for the church (you remember Craig). Then, we dressed up for Halloween with a Ferris Bueller theme (yes, we are a theme-dressed family), I turned one year older (set to a 90s theme), and we finished off the year celebrating our first Christmas with Fox. To sum it up, 2012, you were full of many large changes, but they all only made life more wonderful and exciting. Again, thank you 2012.

You will always be remembered,

Andrea

p.s. Did you hear that rumor about how 2013 has plans to completely outshine you? What are your thoughts on that?
