VIDEO // Fox at Age Two

Fox at my sister-in-law's wedding last month. Bowties:)

Fox turned two last month, but he was just being so silly one day that we decided to get some of this two-year-old on film. Right now, Some of Fox's favorites are coloring, building cars out of blocks (and graham crackers, cookies, anything...), balloons, Curious George, giving tickles, yogurt, fruit/veggie pouches, cookies, playing at the park, baths (well, showers now. No bathtub here), magnets, being picked up, petting Sloane's hair, yelling surprise! ("a-prise!"), building pillow forts, squirrels, his "spiderman pants", riding the metro and busses, and ...he just likes a lot right now:)

Oh, and we clipped the tips off of his pacifiers last night -because I saw a kid at the park who was way older than Fox with a pacifier and it freaked me out, so we decided to wean him off of them this week. It went awesome! He was a little bummed that they were "broke" at first, but it was like he totally forgot about them the whole rest of the day. And he went to bed without even asking for them! (he's been attached to carrying two at all times lately). Sadly, he woke up in the middle of the night crying from a nightmare. We couldn't calm him down, and I was concerned about him being so loud so late when we now share walls with neighbors, so I caved and let him have an emergency pacifier we had in the back of his closet. But we put it back we he got up this morning, so we're crossing our fingers that he makes it all the way through tonight without any.

  1. I've never heard of clipping the ends off the pacifier but i think that idea is genius!! I hope my baby ends up taking a pacifier just for my sanity haha but it's nice to hear of a way to break her from it one day!

  2. Abby's Dr. just told me that is the best way to ditch the binky. He said she would get rid of it herself... I'm just trying to make it through teething right now :/

  3. He's hilarious and so cute! And this reminded me that I did this with Clark (6 months ago...) and forgot to do anything with it. Ha.
And I just hid all my girls' binkies. I'm terrified to go to church tomorrow!
