Fox and Sloane

These two.

Having Fox and Sloane around, especially when they're together, just makes everything more fun. And I love how much fun they have together. Sloane's favorite person, by far, is Fox. He can make her crack up louder than anyone else can. He is so good with Sloane, and has been from the beginning. I know this is not incredibly common, so I am really so proud of him. He has always been so kind and thoughtful around her. He doesn't always love sharing, but he'll usually just get mad at us, not her. The other day, in the car, Sloane was crying. I heard Fox say "here, Sloane. Here, Sloane." I looked back and saw he was trying to hand her his toy to make her feel better:) His favorite person to hug is also, no surprise here, Sloane.

Fox and Sloane are pretty close in age (22 months apart). I really wanted it that way because I always wanted kids who would love playing together and be little friends -Not that being spread further apart wouldn't have allowed that, I was just too excited to wait any longer, I guess. It's such a fun stage they are at right now, because Sloane is old enough to start getting what's going on around her, and Fox is old enough to realize he is the center of attention:) So he basically loves entertaining her all day. And he knows we love watching him do it. But even though he can get mad at her sometimes (she loves stealing his toys. troublemaker.), I love that it's obvious he genuinely loves her.

Wow, this post got sappy quick, but I didn't want to miss posting about this little stage in their lives. Who knows, next week they might be completely sick of each other.

  1. This post and those pictures are the sweetest! Look at all her hair!!! I love sibling love. Jude loves Ezra so much. I was a little worried about how she'd handle not getting all our attention all the time, but she's been so great about it. I guess we both just got lucky with super awesome kids. We win!
