No sleep for Sloane. Or anybody.

This girl sure is lucky she's cute. And the fact that she's so easy going 90% of the time doesn't hurt either ...cause her nighttime antics are getting pretty old.

She was a wonderful sleeper for so long, but the last few weeks have definitely been rough. I'm really hoping with her turning eight-months-old last week, that this phase was just a seventh-month-old type thing. The whole nighttime drama has been especially difficult because, with Fox, we so would have just done the "cry-it-out" method by now and been done with it. But Sloane has developed a really sad habit of scratching the back of her head. No matter how short I trim her fingernails, or even if she wears mittens, she seems to constantly have really sad looking scabs on the back of her head. So, if we let her be awake crying in her bed for too long, she will end up deciding to start scratching. And that's how we're at where we are at now -no sleep for anybody  ...except Fox (lucky).

Ok, I'm being dramatic. It's not like we are all up all night. But I definitely miss the days when both kids were sleeping through the night. Anyone else have kids who were always scratching? We started trying some baby eczema lotion to help. I sure hope it does. Also, let's be honest, even though I miss out on some sleep, I do love when she ends up in bed with us. Lying next to my cutie babies all night is one of my favs.

Happy eight months, Sloane! No more scratching!
