Sloane // 15 Months

Sloane 15 months
Sloane 15 months

Baby Sloane is 15 months now! I don't know how this keeps happening -the whole babies growing up thing. It's hard to imagine that just 15 months ago...

she wasn't even here yet!
It feels like she's always been in our family. And even though I'm in denial about it most of the time, Sloane growing up has also been a lot of fun

She's becoming Fox's little sidekick, around here. Always following him around and mimicking all he does. It's one of my new favorite things. Fox starts being silly and pawing at my leg, then Sloane comes over and starts pawing with her little hands, too. Fox grabs his toothbrush to brush his teeth, then Sloane comes up to the bathroom counter and begs for her toothbrush too. Fox grabs his little coin purse we brought back from Portland for him, then Sloane quickly scrambles to find hers. Fox sticks out his tongue, then suddenly Sloane's tiny tongue is peeking out too. Oh, I just love how much she wants to be just like her big brother:)

Sloane is also staring to sprinkle in more actual words with her constant chatter. "Dada", "Mama" (or "baba"), "dog", "beep beep", "uh oh", "yum yum yum" and "baby" are her current favorites. She also loves being outside, stroller rides, flipping light switches, being read to, bath time, and candy corn. Sometimes, she does this thing where she'll just be standing there, then she starts moving her feet up and down pretty fast. We call it her "tap dancing" and it's like the best thing ever.

As you can see, 15 months is pretty great. Even though she's not exactly a baby anymore, Sloane is becoming more helpful, cute, and fun each day. So I'll take it. Plus, she still love to cuddle up whenever you pick her up. So, major bonus:)

  1. Aw, those pigtails are so cute! My mom used to do this hairstyle on me, but higher, which made me look like an alien with feelers. Enjoy the 15 month-age while you can---I remember my baby sister got a lot more energetic and bratty once she turned 2.

    1. Haha I can totally picture what you're talking about with the alien feelers. Good thing aliens are cool. And I hear that about so many kids when they turn two. I really hope Sloane follows in her brother's footsteps and never hits the "terrible twos" and also skips the stage he's in now, and basically just always stays sweet and cute. It can happen, right? haha

    1. Hi Lauren! Thank you. I love the toddler stage. I also have a three-year-old though, and he's a blast too. I hope every stage continues to be fun (and not too crazily challenging;) )

  3. Seriously, who told babies they were allowed to grow up?!!! Ezra follows Jude around and wants to be involved in whatever she's doing and it's so great. I can't wait until Jude and Ezra have that Fox and Sloane dynamic going. Kids, they're the best.

    1. Haha yes, Fox and Sloane have quite the dynamic. Can Jude and Ezra come over for a playdate someday?
