Our fourth of July was full of watermelon, fireworks, and patriotic colors. It was such a fun (and busy) day. The kids both skipped naps and woke up extra early, so there were some rough moments. But it was still a fun and memorable day.
Camaron woke up (extremely) early with the kids, so I took the kids out for a bit to give him a nap break a little after I got up. We headed over to Michaels for their summer craft camp. The theme of the day was "Castles and Princesses", so we made some jester hats, dragon puppets, and jester puppets (no castles or princesses). Fox is becoming a pro at using scissors! It was a fun way to spend the morning (and I know Camaron was a fan;)).
That evening, we headed over to my parent's house for some swimming, BBQ, and fireworks. Cam and I decided to pick up a few extra fireworks at one of the roadside stands on our way there. The top picture in this post features me wielding the "princess power sword". A firework which I will always be in debt to Camaron for finding. It was amazing! I felt like a wizard.

My favorite part of any holiday is the food. fact.
These kiddos are obsessed with this little pool! Almost as much as Sloane is obsessed with that purple, two-sizes-too-big swimsuit:) The rough moments I mentioned earlier mostly happened here, but luckily they got over it and just decided to have a blast instead:)
I'm so grateful I got to spend the day with Camaron and the kids and celebrate our country's independence.
Hope you had a great holiday weekend!!!
