What kind of camera do you use?
I use a Canon Rebel T2i. It's my go-to for the majority of my photos and videos. I use the kit lens a lot, but I'm also a big fan of the 50mm 1.8 lens. Check out one of my fav videos here.
What software do you use?
I use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for most all of my designs:) For hand lettered projects, I write everything out on paper, then scan it into Illustrator and go from there. I have a really cool tablet, but I'm the worst with change and haven't learned to use it yet:/
What is your natural hair color?
Ha! This one will take a lot of scrolling through to archives to discover. My hair is naturally a medium/dark brown. I like my natural color, but I like trying out new colors too (obviously).
How many kids do you have?
We have two kids. Fox will turn four this year and Sloane is almost two! They're both pretty photogenic, so they definitely take over the blog the majority of the time.
How long have you been married?
Not all that long, but sometimes it feels that way:) Camaron and I got married at the end of 2010.
What's your art background?
I've always kinda been "the artist" among my family and friends. I took art classes all through school and college. I got my BA in art education and taught elementary art for a couple years. I love creating more than teaching though -so after resigning because of a move out of state, I never went back to teaching. I have always needed an art outlet to stay sane, so I take classes here and there and am kept very busy by my shop and the blog.
How can I learn hand lettering?
I took a class on skillshare, and follow a lot of amazing artists on instagram. And I'm planning to teach some workshops this fall. Get excited! I am!
